Terms of use

By using PROOF you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

• Adults only. PROOF is about alcoholic drinks and is meant only for people who are of legal drinking age where they live, and at least 18. By entering you confirm that you are.
• What it is. A free collection of cocktail recipes with illustrations and a step by step guide, for information and entertainment. It is not professional, medical or nutritional advice.
• Recipes as is. Recipes, amounts, conversions (for example ml to oz), colours, pictures and descriptions are given in good faith but may be simplified, approximate or contain mistakes. Real drinks look and taste different from the pictures. Always use your own judgement.
• Your responsibility. You are fully responsible for what you make, drink or serve to others, for the ingredients you choose, and for following the laws on alcohol where you are. Never serve alcohol to minors or to anyone who should not drink.
• As is. The app is provided free and “as is”, without any warranty. It may contain errors, look different on your device, be unavailable, or change or stop at any time without notice.
• Liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, STUDIO MERLIN, s.p. is not liable for any damage or loss arising from using or not being able to use the app or its recipes, including health effects, allergic reactions, intoxication, accidents, damaged property or what others do. As the app is free, our total liability is limited to zero euros.
• Your indemnity. If someone makes a claim against us because of how you used the app or a drink you made or served, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses.
• What we don’t limit. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence or harm to life or health caused by our fault, or your mandatory consumer rights.
• Brands. Product names such as Campari, Aperol or Chartreuse belong to their owners. They are named only to describe recipe ingredients. PROOF is not connected to, sponsored or endorsed by any of them.
• The design. The app itself (its look, code, illustrations and texts) belongs to STUDIO MERLIN, s.p. Posters you download are for your personal use. Classic recipes themselves belong to everyone.
• Law. Slovenian law applies. Courts in Slovenia have jurisdiction, unless your mandatory consumer rights say otherwise.
• Changes. We may update these terms at any time. The version on this page applies.

Alcohol and health

• Please drink responsibly. Know your limits, drink water, and never drink and drive. Don’t drink if you are pregnant, taking medicine that doesn’t mix with alcohol, or have a health condition that alcohol could affect.
• Allergens. Some recipes contain egg, milk and cream, nuts (for example amaretto and orgeat), gluten, sulphites or other allergens. Liqueurs can contain ingredients that are not listed here. Check the labels of the products you use.
• Raw egg. Some recipes use raw egg white or yolk. Raw eggs can carry salmonella. Use very fresh, pasteurised eggs, or leave them out. Not recommended for pregnant people, small children, older people or anyone with a weak immune system.
• Hot drinks and tools. Take care with hot coffee, glassware, knives and blenders.
• Need help? If alcohol is causing problems for you or someone close to you, please talk to a doctor or a local support service.

Privacy

• No account, nothing sent to us. PROOF works entirely in your browser. We don’t collect your name, email or anything you do in the app.
• On your device. The app saves your saved recipes, your ml/oz choice and the fact that you confirmed your age in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device. You can clear it in your browser settings.
• Posters. Posters are drawn in your browser and saved straight to your device.
• Server logs. Like any website, our server briefly records technical data (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) to keep it running and secure. We don’t use it to identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
• No cookies, no tracking, no ads. So there is no cookie banner.
• Your rights. You can ask us about your data, or to correct or delete it, by writing to tassh@studio-merlin.com. You can also complain to the Slovenian data protection authority: Informacijski pooblaščenec, Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana, www.ip-rs.si.
